Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 July 2026. Short, because we collect very little.
What we collect
If you use the contact form: your name, email address and the message you send. That is used to reply to you and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list — we do not have one.
If you just read the site: we use Google Analytics 4, which collects standard anonymised usage data — pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and how you arrived. We use it to understand which guides people find useful. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not attempt to.
What we do not collect:we do not ask for or store payment details — all purchases happen on Amazon or the manufacturer’s own site, not here. We do not sell data, we do not share it with data brokers, and we run no advertising network.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to measure usage. Amazon sets its own cookies when you follow one of our links — that is how affiliate attribution works, and Amazon’s cookie typically lasts 24 hours. Those cookies are governed by Amazon’s privacy notice, not ours.
You can block cookies in your browser. The site works fine without them.
Affiliate links
When you click a product link here, you are sent to Amazon with a tag identifying us as the referrer. If you then buy something, we earn a commission. Amazon tells us how many sales were made and how much we earned — it does not tell us who you are or what else you bought. Our full affiliate disclosure is here.
Contact form submissions are delivered to us by Microsoft Graph and land in the Info@houndandfield.com inbox. They are kept as long as needed to deal with your message.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email Info@houndandfield.com and we will action it. Depending on where you live, the GDPR or the CCPA may give you these rights as a matter of law; we will honour them regardless of where you live.
You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s official browser add-on.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is material we will say so plainly rather than hoping you do not notice.
